Here at Praying Christian Women, we realize that there are many different disputable matters within the Body of Christ (Romans 14). We maintain a very basic non-denominational theology, and our hope is to “major on the majors” of our common faith as believers to keep the focus on what we can accomplish together rather than where our differences may lie.
If you have any additional questions about our statement of faith or need further clarification don’t hesitate to contact us at connect@prayingchristianwomen.com!
WE BELIEVE
The Bible is divinely inspired, the ultimate source of truth, and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and action.
One God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20).
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth as the immortal God in human flesh, as the “radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being” (Hebrews 1:3). He existed with God before the creation of the world (John 1:1). He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and died to fulfill the Old Testament law, paying the price for our sins and making us right with God through our faith in him. He was resurrected in the body, and so we will also be raised in the last days when he returns.
Salvation is found only through Jesus (John 14:6), when by faith (apart from any works we could do to earn favor) we believe and our souls are brought from a state of death to a state of life by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, who then indwells us (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
